The main ingredient is Cocao, which is a very powerful Antioxidant. So it is very exhilarating to consume and gives you a sense of satisfaction, when in fact you should be restraining yourself from Sugar Pleasures.
Preparation Time: 10-12 minutes
Cook Time: 15-20 minutes
Raw Chocolate Banana Shake (Made by the Mendes Bros)
makes 2 shakes
2 cups frozen ripe bananas, chopped before freezing
2 heaping spoonfuls of raw cacao powder
2-3 Tbsp raw salted almond butter
1 1/2cups raw almond milk
1/4 cup crushed ice
note: if you don’t have “frozen” bananas, you can still make this shake — but add in another scoop of ice and expect to have more of a smoothie consistency, rather than a frozen shake
Chocolate shake beginner version
1 frozen banana
2 tablespoons of cacao powder
Few tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
Dash of sea salt
add Ice and put in a blender
Raisin and Cocoa Shake – When you are about to do extended exercise, such as long, strenuous Jits Training sessions, you need a high energy food. Raisins and milk add carbohydrate to this shake, while cocoa and orange add a flavor boost.
- Golden raisins 60 gm
- Cold milk 1 cup
- Sweetened Cocoa Powder 1 tbsp
- Orange Zest (grated) 1 tsp
- Sugar 1 tsp
Raisin and Cocoa Shake Cooking Directions:
Put the raisins in a small saucepan and add water to cover.
Bring to boil over medium high heat, reduce heat to medium low, cover and cook for 10 minutes.
Drain and let cool to room temperature.
In a blender, combine the raisins and all the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
