A teenage boy’s Jiu-Jitsu skills came in handy when he was attacked by a man about twice his age at a skate park.
In a shocking video, a man and woman can be seen hurling abuse at a young boy after he got into an argument with their son in Walsall, West Midlands.
The dad’s attention soon turns to Connor Jackson – but when he threw a punch at the 14-year-old, he didn’t know who he was messing with.
Connor, who has been training in martial arts for four years, instinctively blocked the punch, before launching a counter-attack with a jab to the man’s face.
His dad Nathan Jackson said: ‘He stood up to the bullies and put him them in their place.
‘He just protected himself and that’s all you need to do.
‘Without the training he has learnt from Tamworth’s Fight Hub, it could have been so much worse. I even think they would have stamped on his head.
‘It’s scary to think that a grown up man could think of such a thing.’
The parents came over when their son had an argument with Connor’s 12-year-old brother.
Shockingly, both the other child’s mum and dad can be seen screaming at the boy, with the dad urging him to ‘f*** him up’ and ‘knock him out’.
When the child refuses, the dad confronts Connor, forcing the 14-year-old fighter into self-defence.
Nathan added: ‘As a parent I think they dealt with this in a disgusting manner. Who in the right mind tries to hit a child?
‘This low life wanted his son to knock out another child and cause lasting damage – it’s unbelievable.’
Police officers passing through the area spoke to the youngsters involved but Connor did not want to pursue charges, his dad said.
