We have had the privilege to try this new product that will help develop the athlete you are or will become. Hobbyist or Competitor, No matter!
What sold us on trying this product and reviewing it was mainly the vision Its creator had and its All around Benefits.
“Carl has worked for Heartland Payment Systems where he managed credit card accounts, but his primary interests have always had a focus on exercise and fitness. In his early twenties Graham became involved in the world of body-building, which led him to a career as a personal trainer. He has been a personal trainer for 18 years, working in various facilities including local gyms, the YMCA and his personal training studio. By owning his own fitness facility, managing employees and building clientele, Carl has the know-how to help his clients achieve success.
When the idea of the weighted body suit was brought to Carl’s attention he was excited about the idea and the endless possibilities. By listening to feedback from all types of athletes, from the grandmother doing water aerobics to the competitive tri-athlete, he has made changes that will increase the efficacy of the Challenge Suit for everyone. This suit will be a game changer in any type of activity. The Challenge suit will challenge any athlete at any level.”
The C-Suit is a weighted body suit that looks and feels a little like a wetsuit but much lighter. It feels and fits tight to your body and there are pockets all over the different body parts, |Arms, Legs, Chest and Back|. In those pockets you can evenly slide custom made very slim 1lb weights. They are very well placed which allows for very good mobility. You can fit up to Three weight plaques in each pocket.
It has the same characteristics as the regular weighted vest, but unlike it, you can place weights in different areas helping your body get stronger and faster without really feeling like it is “Extra” on you. It will add from 10 to 30 lbs on your body weight displaced evenly. The suits comes standard with 10lbs worth of weight.
This suit is great and utilizes the latest technology in resistance training that can be applied for Grappling, JiuJitsu, Judo and other combat sports. It is like Training without even knowing you are having weights on you. You will Definitely feel it after you take the suit off, and it will feel GREAT.
It is quite an excellent addition really to anything athletic you do or want to get into. It will give you an edge, that is for sure.
The weights are easily removable for replacement or to launder the suit. Machine wash in cold water and tumble dry. No Noticeable shrinkage.
The C-suit is like a body rash-guard and you can chose to get it in various colors: Red, Black, Royal, White, Navy, Gold, Purple, Orange, Maroon, Dark green and Forrest green.

First of all, this suit feels really good when you put it on. People won’t even notice it when you step on the mats as it looks like a rash-guard under your GI. I have used it many times, but not throughout the whole duration of the class. For example i have used it for the warmup and drilling exercises and then the next class i have used it just for the rolling part of the class.
What was neat was after the warmup and drilling/technique part of the class I was really exhausted but feeling energized and good to spar. When I took the suit off to roll with the Gi only, it felt like a lot of weight was lifted off my shoulders and I just felt very rapid and agile. It felt like I was able to be heavier and add more pressure while on top positions and also that I could get out with less effort out of the bottom positions. It really was a great experience. You feel at that point that things are going to get better for you on the mats.
The next training session, I just used it to roll. Now for myself I had to take out the back weights because playing on your back with the weights there was kind of uncomfortable but I just placed those plaques on the chest legs and arm area. Everything went great after that. Super comfortable and the weight does not move or feel in the way of your movements. It stays right where it should be.
It felt OK at first, You do not feel it, but then after the second roll of 5 minutes, you start feeling the extra weight on your body. I couldn’t stop to think: “wow this is going to be a hard and long good workout”. Of course, when wearing the suit, to be fair to the lighter guys, I rolled with the heavier, bigger guys, so when on top, they didn’t feel too much of the extra weight… When I was on the bottom, it made me work much more on the leverage and simpler, basic movements. Very efficient to work the mental as well.
This has greatly improved my balance and leverage for my grappling Gi and NoGi.
The final word:
The C-suit allows you to work so many angles that it can only be an added benefit to your training and rolling routine. I Have used it in versatile ways that during the time i used it, It felt and looked like I hit the Weight room but not really.
Unlike people may think at first, it does not restrict my grappling nor get in the way of what I was doing and the whole suit stayed in place with no shifting of the weight. Very stable piece of equipment to take with you at the gym and gains will be felt very soon after the first time you wear it.
C-sports Gear is a relatively new company but their vision and what they bring to the table has a lot of added benefits to the athlete we are or trying to become. A tool that should be fit in your daily workouts Off like On the mats. Giving it the Thumbs up .
